An Excel Tutorial for Combining the TEXT and the NOW Functions

I want to show you in this Tutorial how to combine the TEXT and the NOW function in one formula.

You’ll need to start with typing in cell B1 =NOW()


Type the formula =B1+0.25 in cell B2. (0.25 stands for 6 hours, ¼ of a day)


Now select cell A3 and type in the following formula ="The project meeting starts at "&TEXT(B1;"HH:MM")&" and ends at "&TEXT(B2;"HH:MM").


And when you have clicked on Enter you’re spreadsheet should look like this.
