Ubuntu is a free Linux-based operating system. Most commonly used Microsoft fonts are not included in the Ubuntu software package. However, you can install Microsoft True Type Core Fonts on Ubuntu. The Microsoft True Type Core Fonts are replaced with generic fonts if they are not installed on your computer.
Step 1 Click on "System." Then choose "Administration," followed by "Synaptic Package Manager."
Step 2 Search for "msttcorefonts" within the Synaptic Package Manager.
Step 3 Select "msttcorefonts" and click "Install."
Step 4 Skip Steps 1-3 if you would like to use the terminal to install the fonts. Go to "Applications," then "Accessories" and finally "Terminal."
Step 5 Type "sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts" into the terminal.
